This database is primarily designed for touring artists who travel to various venues for performances. Anyone who maintains a contact list and list of venues where performances take place will benefit from this detailed and powerful application. Singer/songwriters, musicians and bands, dancers, theater groups, storytellers, comedians, mimes, puppeteers, magicians, clowns or anyone else who travels to a place, does something there, gets paid for the service and goes on to the next. Authors, gallery artists, craftsmen and gypsies.

So handy for the iPhone and iPod touch because it puts your contact and booking information right at your fingertips. In the iPhone View layout, you have quick access to everything you need while traveling, all with a simple tap – venue address (with a field automatically bringing up a Google map), web site address (which opens the site in Safari), contact phone numbers (which dial when tapped) and email address (which opens mail ready to send your note), - also photo fields in case you’re trying to remember a face, even a history of your last visit to that venue and a place to enter the particular repertoire of your performance if applicable.
The database goes very deep on your host computer. Naturally it can be customized in style, color and content for your special circumstances, which vary for every touring artist. It was developed to keep track of thousands of potential presenters. Large numbers of presenters’ info can easily be imported from spreadsheet files. Mass mailings are a cinch, using your letters written inside the database and sent with mail merge, printing addresses onto labels or directly on to envelopes bearing your logo. Once a booking is initiated the database collects all of the details, generates customized contracts, invoice forms and personalized notes. After the booking has taken place, the contract information automatically goes into a history page and the fee goes into an income section, which can generate a report detailing all of your income for the month or for the year. Many aspects of the host database are automated through customized scripts.

In order for the iPhone View to be fully functional, it is important for all of the fields in the Venue Information section be filled out completely. The Map field is a container field which gets its content from the other fields like this:
